    On September 29, 2016 the LA Times published an op/ed by two professional data scientists who independently reviewed the Rowena crash data:   "Despite the controversy, Silver Lake’s ‘road diet’ worked."

     

    The data scientists reported:  "Improved safety for all road users...the primary goal of the project - has clearly been achieved."

    Road Diets are keeping people safe across Los Angeles

    A recently published study of Los Angeles road diets showed a 36% reduction in traffic injuries on average compared to the same roads prior to road diet implementation.
